To Higher Ground

Yesterday, the Wise Guy was wiped.  We have been playing hard around these parts and he fell asleep right before the big Turkey Dinner we were making for our dear friend in the Navy.  So Sweetie curled up with him, hugged him, and whispered  about faeries into his ear so that “he would have good dreams, Mommy.”

He put up with quite a bit jostling , cuddling, and hugging from Sweetie while he sleeping….until Sweetie attempted  to wake him for dinner.  Then he sat straight up, completely out of it, fought off his waker with a fervor, and scrambled to higher ground.  Then, he promptly passed out.

God, I love these kids.

I love how kids can sleep anywhere… like cats. And what I nice sister. Bet she’s nicer when he’s sleeping. That’s how it is at Casa Jones, anyway. :)
